I guess I should start by saying I work overnight at a gas station. Only two employees work the graveyard shift, one on gas side, one on the food side. I happened to get the shorter end of the stick and I work food side. We all work full time and receive no benefits, no holiday pay, barely make over minimum wage, and are watched like hawks on the numerous cameras that fill the ceilings of our establishment. It is there, under those bright fluorescent lights that most of the thoughts I will express here come from.
